Oven-Roasted Hot + Honey Wings

Serves 6-8

Chicken Rub

  • 4lbs bone-in chicken drumsticks
  • 1/8 c. garlic powder
  • 1/8 c. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 T. paprika
  • 2 T. ground pepper

Hot + Honey Sauce

  • 6 T butter (1 stick)
  • 2 Thai chili peppers
  • 12 oz. hot sauce (your favorite hot sauce! I use Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce)
  • 12 oz honey (6 oz in mixture, 6 oz additional for topping)



  1. Pre-heat oven to 425F.
  2. Place chicken wings on baking sheet.
  3. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, paprika, and ground pepper.
  4. Place chicken wings in oven for 35-40 minutes or until done.
  5. During the last 10 minutes of cooking, whip out a saucepan.
  6. Throw your butter into the saucepan and bring to medium heat.
  7. Dice Thai chili peppers.
  8. Once butter has melted, add diced Thai chili peppers, and stir.
  9. After 2-3 minutes of stirring, add 12 oz. of hot sauce and 6 oz. of honey. Let begin to boil.
  10. When chicken has finished cooking, place on plates and pour hot and honey sauce over chicken wings, then enjoy!
